Good point, Ken. I like focusing on the positive stuff also.

Automatic entry for past Championship Chairman's Award-winning teams is good.

Automatic entry for previous year Championship winners is good.

Automatic entry for current year...
... Regional Champions
... Regional Chairman's Award winners
... Engineering Inspiration Award winners
... Rookie All-Star winners

... is good.

Allowing teams to use merit points from last year is a good thing also, even though 2004 will be the last year to use this type of qualification.
