BS2 syntax (PBASIC) on the new controllers? Maybe!

I'm not sure if you could use this with our new controller, but there's a product called PicBasic that runs inside the MPLAB IDE (like the one included on the EDU CD) but the syntax is based on BS2 BASIC (just like the BS2SX we used in previous years).

Of course there are major problems like the C18 Libraries (I'm not sure if the C18 libraries are only for the chip or if they've been tailored for our controller) and the start-up routines. If we could get IFI to port the init routines and definitions over to this then we could use it...

I just thought that was kind of novel, but it could perhaps help out some older teams who lack the C programming knowledge to do anything spectacular with the controller.

I think I'll be sticking to C though
