Weekly Hottest-
QB- Peyton Manning (Philly Cheesesteaks)- 45 pts
For the record, I am not biased with this choice. Manning simply had more points than any other quarterback, and I believe more than any other player.
QB’s- Trent Green and John Kitna (Coco’s Monkeys)- 37 and 35 pts
Both Green and Kitna turned in impressive numbers, pairing large pass completions with touchdown passes. Isn’t it ironic that the manager who (sic) didn’t tend his team for the first few weeks ends up with a stud offense?
RB- Priest Holmes (R.I. Electrons)- 23 pts
The Friar again scored three touchdowns, bringing his season total to 12 after only 8 games. Pity the Commish won’t have him for next week- he’s truly burning this league up
RB’s- Stephen Davis and Shaun Alexander (Scrawny White Guys)- 18 and 16 points
Neither of those guys are scrawny…. and wait a minute, they’re not white… I can tell those two will be on this list rather often, as they are both among the league’s best running backs.
WR- Randy Moss (Pinman)- 22 pts
Moss is back to his terrifying form, hauling in touchdown passes at his normal pace. Here he matches 7 receptions with 125 yards and two scores, albeit no celebrational dance. Anyone remember how he sprayed a poor little kid with a water bottle last year?
WR’s- Ike Hilliard and Reggie Wayne (ValleyGirls)- 23 and 20 points
Whoa! Most people don’t even have a receiver get 20 points in an entire season, but ValleyGirls had two receivers do so in one week. How much luck is that? Lucky for her Hilliard hasn’t had to face Brian Dawkins this year… for those of you who know what happened..
K- Matt Stover (ValleyGirls)- 13 points
Only four field goals and two PAT’s made, but nonetheless 13 solid points many teams could have used
Defense- Kansas City (ValleyGirls)- 25 points
3 sacks, 5 interceptions, oh wait, and 2 fumbles… How is this humanely possible? The most ironic thing is that Kansas City is home to Dante Hall, the human magician who garners most of the return touchdowns in the league, yet KC only had 38 return yards in this game.. Believe it..
Defensive Player- Ben Taylor (Scrawny White Guys)- 16 points
Taylor got 16 tackles in this game, which is equalivent to making every tackle in three drives. Impressive.
Overall Team- ValleyGirls- 164 pts
Sheesh… This eclipses the prior record by quite a few points, and proves what teamwork does. Remember this people, there is no I in team. And don’t listen to that fool Leon (There ain’t no we in team either), even though he is in the best commercial this season has presented.
Best Commercial- That Leon Commercial… you gotta see it…
