I'd have to disagree. The torgue motor itself have very little power(yes i do realise that breaking the arm thing was a figure of speech, but just making it clear so there wouldn't be any misconception on the capacity of the torque motor), and, although with it's greatly geared down, it's still fairly weak. Our team tried to apply it for several things (just because it was new last year), and all we got was one broken torque motor which now back drives.
If you want to go for a motor that doesn't require too much power, use the tiny motor that came with a kit(the motor that came in a bag w/ surgical tubing and stuff) and gear em down yourself.
