The motrola startac line of phones (digital ones anyway that I know of) will actually accept AT commands like a normal serial modem will, if you search a bit on google their not that hard to find, get a serial sync cable and go to town. I would send you a link to what I found but it was lost in a recent format (RAID 0 + 1 bad drive = ).
