M16: Referees may disallow mechanisms that present a risk of entanglement.
Now, M16 is in the robot appendix, and DQ3 applies to the game. I'd think referees would use M16 during inspection and DQ3 in the game.
Looking at what happened to you, the other team was CLEARLY trying to damage YOUR system, by driving on it deliberately and violently. They should have been called to stop first by DQ3. I'm sure FIRST judges will realize this. I hope your system won’t be a problem in inspection, and if I may say so, it’s ingenious.
