Re: Users Guide To Inventor

Raj -

Thanks for posting your tutorial! You've done a great job of presenting the basics clearly and understandably. I'm glad to see your section on the use of constraints in sketching - that is an often-overlooked, but very important, part of creating a good design in Inventor.

Although Inventor is pretty easy to pick up without formal training, I'm sure many Inventor users will find your tutorial helps them up the steepest part of the learning curve.

BTW, for "Inventors" looking for tutorials on more advanced topics, check out Sean Dotson's excellent site: http://www.sdotson.com/index.asp Sean covers everything from the basics through constrain-driven animation and creating iParts and iFeatures. Two other must-have links are:
http://www.cbliss.com/inventor/index.htm (Charles Bliss's parts libraries)
http://www.firstcadlibrary.com/ (Ed Sparks FIRST parts libraries)

For those using 8020 for their bots, C Bliss has an excellent iPart for creating all the different sizes of their extrusions: http://www.cbliss.com/inventor/Parts...-Extrusion.zip You'll find it doesn't work as downloaded, though - you have to open it and move the end of part marker down to the bottom of the browser and save the part first. (Charles has a note about this at http://www.cbliss.com/inventor/iPartsDeMystified.htm)
