Obviously the people that made them didn't expect you to use two at once. I don't think this is really an oversight on FIRST's part. If I remember right they said at one point veterans wouldn't get joysticks this year. We got them though. Anyway, I think that they probably got a good price on them and they are good quality so they gave us two and the option to get more of whatever kind we want. I don't think they expected you to reshape your left hand
. I would suggest giving one to each driver if you use single stick drive. If you prefer two like I do, you'll probably want to pick up a couple of those old flight sticks from a supplier or your old kit and then the other driver can use one of these while you save the other for next year (remember, they might cut them off for veterans!).
