Start digging back into the high school, outside of the technology departments. There may be some art or computer students that would have already-trained parents that want to mentor. Or, maybe some of the teachers have animation experience...you never know!

Furthermore, check with your past coach. (S)He may have friends that would want to mentor...since like usually pairs with like.
