spiking a 2X ball in your own goal should be ok - you can still put balls on top of it and the multiplyer still counts - you are just trying to make sure it stays there

spiking a ball in your opponents goal is a little more, ummm devious

but if you push it down far enough to get stuck they can still toss balls ontop of it, so they can still score.

I think getting the third 2X and playing keepaway with it will be a more useful defense stateejury.
