1 = 1

-1 = -1

-1/1 = -1/1

-1/1 = -1/1(-1/-1)

-1/1 = 1/-1

(-1/1)^.5 = (1/-1)^.5

((-1)^.5) / (1^.5) = (1^.5) / ((-1)^.5)
cross multiply, and you get


Did you forget order of operations?
Exponents first

(1/-1) / (1/1) = (1/1) / (1/-1)

(-1) / (1) = (1) / (-1)

-1 != 1
-1 = -1

Atleast I'm pretty sure that's right...
