Also, the infinite decimal expansion 0.99999... is the geometric series .9+.09+.009+...
a = 0.9 (the first term)
r = 0.1 (the constant multiple).
Geometric series with |r|<1 converge to a/(1-r). In this case, that's 0.9 / (1-0.1) = 0.9/0.9 = 1
So 0.9999... = 1.
