I'm not ENTIRELY sure about this, but at least sure enough to post.
Virginia High Schools by law must start after Labor Day. The State needs our wonderful youthfull bodies to work at all the tourist spots in VA Beach, Busch Gardens, etc. I'd be upset, but personally I like starting late!
