Yep, these couplings are nice. We did not strip the keyway in the composite, but we were worried about it. So, we boached a hex hole in the composite part and put a hex sleeve piece of aluminum in it's place. This hex sleeve had a 3/8" hole with a 1/8" keyway in it, just like the composite coupling had.
