I hope you guys don't take it negatively, there are plenty of our own ideas on it. It's the basic premise of the arms, how they taper for stability and leave the heavy mechanisms low, keeping the CG down.
lol, nothing about it is taken negatively way especially since i started a different team, and I'm gunning for 312 too It was a solid design back then, and I don't expect anyone to waste time reinventing the wheel....the guy that had the original idea just quit from baxter, but next time I see him I'll be sure to mention your love of the design.....I recommend if you don't already have it, putting in a force feedback system to keep the arm in the correct position so you can move that ball around easily.....PM or IM me if you want/need further explanation how we did it in 2001....
