Re: Free Games

Hm. The Unreal 2 XMP demo is pretty nice. It's a team-oriented FPS. I haven't played in a while so I don't know what the userbase is like now. (I fried my Radeon 9700 Pro on the way back from Xmas vacation.. then I screwed it up more so that I can't even boot linux without needing a videocard now). But Unreal2 is a very good game if you want to put a big load on your computer. Personally, I'd start saving money to buy: Halflife 2, Unreal Tournament 2004, and Doom 3. I know that's what I'm doing! (I'm also saving up to sell my 9700p to buy a 9800pro to OC it to an XT and buy 512mb more of RAM to get the dual-channels going) I need money.

Also, I REALLY liked ET.. but the public servers have REALLY gone downhill. It reminds me of counterstrike now with all the 12-year-old elitists. The private servers are still decent.. but hard to find.. because they're.. private I've been dieing to try Call of Duty but still have no money.
