It sounds like you have a bad speed controller. It is supposed to remember calibration so the intenal memory must be bad. You won't be able to calibrate during competition and you have already fixed the problem by replacing the speed controller. You weren't making metal filings by drilling or such? Metal flakes falling into the speed controllers will damage them and that is not covered under warranty. Check with Innovation First for replacement.
