Have you tried to contact ASME members in Boston and ask them for their help?
The group has a web page at:
http://www.asme.org/sections/boston/
and a list of names / emails for some of the section leadership is at:
http://www.asme.org/sections/boston/ASMEcommittee.html
I would contact the listed indviduals and ask for their support. All that would be required from them is a cover letter simply stating that they are a member, they support engineering outreach and that you are an example of the success that results from such programs. It wouldn't be "incorrect" to even draft the paragraph for them to drop on their letterhead.
Good luck - Vince
