Thanks for the help and parts, 340!

Today, one of our students called up team 340 (which he was on last year) and asked if we could come over and use their scale and thier playing field for a bit. They invited us with open arms.

At first, we hardly moved, quickly diagnosed to the fact that we had been using the same battery all day. They gave us one of thier spares to use.

When we got there, we started practicing, and it quickly became apparent that the 1/8" aluminum plate we had just installed wasn't going to cut it. First they supplied us with a c-clamp to see if that would help stabalize it. When that didn't help, they cut a piece of 1/4" aluminum exactly as we needed it.

Then after weighing ourselves, we wanted to add some weight to the front, and they found some spare parts to attach. Then we use 40 or so of thier zip ties to attach the parts.

After they gave us ample food and hot chocolate, we decided it was time to go home. On the way out, they told us to keep the battery we were using. (One of our batteries that we had gotten from FIRST was bad, and haven't gotten a replacement yet).

We were very blessed to be able to use your field and facilities, 340. Thanks for making parts, and giving us the battery. You're the best.
