Ok here is what you do, open the drawling you made first. Then go to new and a Standard.idw. On the lefty hand side there is a panel called "Drawing Views Panel," under that there is a button called base view. Click on that, and a window will pop up. If you only have the file you want demesions on, then you should not have to find the file, otherwise click on the button with the folder and the maginifing glass and get your file. Then click ok, and drag the image that opens to where you want it. Then you may click on the Projected View option that is under base view, and drag out the top, front, and isometeric view. After that click on the Drawing Views Panel," and a drop down menu should appear, click on the "Drawing Annotation Panel. The first option under that is General Dimension. Click click on what you want to show dimensions for and drag them out. I hope that helped futher clarify. I'll try to get some images for you in a step by step format.
