It asks me for my user-name and password if I try to reply. It also doesn't let me vote in polls.
I think once that after I was idle for a while, I no longer showed up in the logged in users either.
Maybe I'm not totally logged out, but its close
Next time it happens, I'll investigate further.
BTW, this is in IE 5.5.
