Excellent idea starting this thread.
Clarkson University also likes throwing money at FIRST participants!
CU gives out tons more money than they announce (I believe they give out the most FIRST scholarship money of any school).
What harm is there in applying?
I love Clarkson, and you could too!

FIRST Scholarship Application
Clarkson University will award up to 12 merit scholarships to selected high school seniors that have been a member of a
FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology ) robotics team. Recipients will receive a scholarship of up to $6,000, and may be eligible for the Clarkson University Leadership or Achievement Award but no additional merit scholarship awards from Clarkson. To apply for the Clarkson University FIRST Scholarship, students must do the following by March 3, 2004:
- Have a minimum overall high school average of 85.
- Complete the Clarkson University admission application (the $30 application fee will be waived for FIRST scholarship applicants).
- Complete the Clarkson University FIRST Scholarship application.
- Provide three recommendation letters, two from high school teachers and one from an adult leader of your FIRST team.
- Submit an essay relating to your FIRST experience.
Awards are renewable for students in good academic standing for four years while attending Clarkson:
