Re: One thing you learnt this season
I learned to never, ever believe the students working on Chairman's Award when they say every thing is in hand without demanding PROOF. Otherwise, after 4 months time, they just may turn over three quarters of a page of writing with grammar and spelling mistakes in every line instead of the expected four pages of rough but editable material. I also learned that if you, yourself, have a good memory, lots of notes and dated photographs and another adult who is really good at writing proposals and willing to stay up late editing (thanks Christine!) you can lock you and your Chairman's group in a room, the night before it's due, with an indecent amount of sugar, and come up with something that is not too bad... however, the sugar hangover the next day will leave you whimpering at the slightest noise...
