Re: Is PBasic enough or not

Older controllers and PBasic should be sufficent for your needs. You have no real use for the increased horsepower of the PIC.
The old controller limits you to 38Hz, but for your purposes that's more than enough, since you're not running the robot at high speed. You won't overshoot the line.
Your program will be polling based rather than interrupt based.
