Re: Wireless network at compitition.

I asked the folks running the Buckeye Regional about wireless networks and here is the response I got. It settles it for me!!!

Thomas,

I have had this request from another team and checked with FIRST. It is okay to use a wireless network for scouting purposes.

What is the ruling for the Buckeye Regional regarding wireless PC networks? Our team (#63 The Red Barons) would like to use one for scouting purposes only. We would not have internet access available to us through this network.

The option to create a wireless PC network is fairly readily available to all teams. Most laptops now come with wireless capability built-in. All it takes is a wireless router widely available at places such as Best Buy and Circuit City for less than $100.
