A math haiku

Wow, I feel pretty sad right 'bout now! I'm working on a major english "cultural overview" project on Japanese haiku. As part of the creative writing component, I'm creating a collection of haiku and have somehow decided to include this -- well, if my teacher can't enjoy it, maybe some of you can?

Quote:
Mathematics Senryu

Elegant equations
Of many variables
Dance in the springtime.

All is fun and
games

Until some discontinuous
function divides by zero

Angers gods,
Who differentiate it even
though discontinuous.

it tries to re-integrate itself,
but is off by a constant.
(Oh, for those interested a "senryu" is like a haiku in structure, but tends to be more humorous/satirical. Oh, and the whole 5-7-5 "rule" is bogus, for those who haven't studied haiku in depth -- I wasn't too sure until I started the project, afterall!)
