." YTMC was an excellent idea, if for nothing more than it puts us, the spectators and competitors, in the refs shoes. "If faced with X situation, what would you have done?" Granted, it has been said that these hypothetical situations have not happened; however, its the frame of mind and resulting decision that is being channeled here. We spend minutes to hours thinking of the proper way to judge these scenarios and our hard working FIRST refs take 5 minutes. Doubled sided awareness. Interesting. Its a tough job, I wouldn't do it (but there are more reasons than the tough calls that have to be made).
The refs are doing a fantastic job this year (better than last year, no matter what anyone chooses to say) and I hope they keep it up for the final stretch.
