Side note: Angela, you can go into medical engineering...just look at Cori Lathan (shameless plug:
www.robot-chicks-union.org or
www.rcuweb.org, either work, as far as I know)
Anyway, I dont know if Dean planned it this way...but he seems to have sparked careers in general, not just careers in engineering/science/technology.
Im going to college for International Business Administration (lol, yes, I know...such a long major, such a short girl

)...and I blame it on being a part of a business this year......buying, purchasing, presenting, having meetings, research & development, testing, strategy, competition, etc. That business is called being on a FIRST team. We all do it, but dont realise it. So, in a way, when I am given $3000 at Babson in the 2nd semester to start a business with 19 other students...I feel rather prepared & almost, to say, ahead of the game.
So why does FIRST only give out engineering scholarships?!? Grrrrr....soon, hopefully, that will all change.
PS - All our profits for the business, as well, have to go to a local charity....Boston area teams take notice...but make sure youre a certified tax-exempt non-profit
