Jeez.

I don't see it as a flame fest or an idiotic debate. No one has been called names, and the level of intelligence in the posts has been quite high all around. Why try to kill a healthy debate?

If you see any of these posts as an attack, I'm sorry. I don't think anyone posting to this thread is trying to attack you or anyone else. But, when you're dealing with a topic as charged and incredibly important as a war (especially this war), expect that people are going to disagree and speak up.

I also don't think any discussion on WMD in this thread is off topic at all. As Ryan said, those Migs could carry all sorts of weapons. So, if you want to talk about anything surrounding the war, Iraq's military and hidden military hardware, expect that acronym to come up. Often. Also expect people to be pretty vocal about the whole topic.

Besides, if it were not for the search for WMD, why would anyone care about some Migs buried in the desert? Everyone has known for a long time that Iraq's army was large, and largly illegal. The critical factor in this war has been weapons of mass destruction. So, as UlTiMaTeP views these Migs as 'smoke' why not talk about the 'fire'?
