Colorado is half way to being only the third team in NHL history to fall behind 3-0 in a series and come back to win it. Last time it was done, 1975, the Islanders. The momentum is most definately on Colorado's side now. And sakic is playing like a god. Not to mention aebicher, and the fact that blake should be back for tuesdays game 6. Aebicher is the hottest goalie right now, and hes been domnant at home during the play-offs. The only goal hes allowed at home during the series wasnt his fault(damphouse flipped one off his back). Aside from the two games early in this series he has been a dominant goaltender. Sakic is on fire, and is now tied for the lead in play-off goals(7), and points(11). Forsberg also has 11 points. Sakic also has the most career game winning play-off goals amognst active players with 6. If colorado pulls this off, which they will, he will become the instant Conn-Smythe favorite. His 3 goals in the last two games, scoring 2 game winners, and the other sending game 5 into OT, will be the most influential of these play-offs. Now that its a 3-2 series they statistically have as much of a chance to pull this off as detroit does, but the difference is that they have the momentum. Plus the trends support them. The last 10 times a team has won game 1 by 3 or more goals, they have gone on to lose the series, and the last 2 times NJ won the stanley cup(95 and 00) colorado won the next year(96 and 01). Plus, a 3-1 series isnt over(just look at the Habs in the first round), much less a 3-2. And for those who say they cant win 4 straight games, why not? SJ won five straight through game 3, tampa bay has won 6 straight. So why not colorado with 4? Id put my money on Colorado in 7(obviously... )
