Recall that the Maize Craze robots were tethered and therefore had no batteries on board, no Robot Controller, no speed controllers, no relays...and the LARGEST motors were seat motors! The WPI robot used 2 seat motors for driveline (!!), and 2 much smaller motors for accessories...and that was it. Btw, there is a class for combative robots (I've seen Tyler Forbes') that weighs under a pound WITH full r/c, speed-controlled motors for driveline and "weapons"!
