Ok, i see your point here, but disagree. While this is a first related community, we talk about things other than first. Most of us do things other than first, and have interests in other topics. I think that if we focus on just the FIRST aspects it would be boring as watching paint dry. Personally, I think most spotlights are dull. While some of them may have "inspiring" messages or messages of gratitude to other teams, many are vomitusly sappy and make the whole system feel like a bad script mashing of the morals for ABC's lineup of after school specials. Seriously. It is all P.C. and takes the fun out of it. Everyone needs to just have some fun sometimes, and I think quotes like the one you mentioned keep the atmosphere light, and keeps the friendliness flowing.
