93 did that two years ago (
see here) and,
as far as I know we did not have to have special permission to do so.
I know, as far as reproducing the actual FIRST logo goes (on t-shirts, etc) a team had to have permission from FIRST, and their logo could only be shown in its true colors or black and white.
To avoid any future chaos, I'd ask FIRST just to be sure.
