Re: "Put Andy on Survivor" - help needed

Also remember, if you get into the interviews, you may not be able to tell us that you're interviewing....so I'll pass this advice on now.

When I saw Sam & Heidi from The Apprentice (another Mark Burnett show, like Survivor) at Babson a couple of weeks ago, they went a bit into their interviews and how it was what they did in there as well as their videos that made them stand out.

Heidi told the story of how she was put into a room with 12 other candidates and their first question was about ethics. This guy next to her started to go on and on with a point that she didn't agree with, and she blurted out, "Oh, that is complete BS!"...and then followed up with her interpretation of ethics using the situation that he had already given. They told her later that they really liked that she wasn't afraid to stand up for herself when someone else disagrees. (And although I don't personally agree with interrupting someone else and telling them their idea is BS, that's her way of doing things..and I'll do things another way.)

Sam, however, has the better story: he went to the Washington DC casting call to find a four hour line. So, he walked to the front of the line and offered a guy $50 if Sam could walk in with him. When they were brought into the room and asked about ethics (again, the first question), Sam said, "You want to know about ethics? I just paid this guy $50 to walk in with him for this interview!"

So, whether you agree with their tactics or not, be sure to not be afraid to speak up and give them a good taste of the personality of Andy Baker. This should shine through in your video as well...but I know you won't have much problem doing that
