I remember watching that last year. Ulrich didn't stop until Tyler Hamilton caught up with him and waved for everyone to let Armstrong back into the race. He kept going full speed for 30-45 seconds before he was waved to slow down. I wouldn't say he's a hero, but he's certainly no fool.

I guess i should have mentioned that Ulrich was just behind Armstrong when he fell. So it's not like he was so far ahead that he couldn't have known about the fall. Armstrong had just passed him and was putting time between himself and Ulrich when he got snagged on a spectator's bag.
