Molly Menges, team 45 alum, and her parents asked my wife, kids and I to walk with her dad in the local parade. I think that it was because we have cute kids.
Anyway, her dad is running for Judge.
So... I bring a Segway for him to ride during the parade (it will be the TechnoKats' machine, as we will raffle it off this fall). He was happy as a lark, and gets to ride it through the entire parade route. Many other candidates were there, including congressmen, and they were ALL jealous!
Molly's dad had the "Segway Smile" pasted on his face all day long.
[edit - oh, yeah, i forgot to add this: Rupert Bonham (from Survivor) was the grand marshall of the parade. I asked him if he wanted to ride the Segway, and he just smiled, shook his head, and said "no.. I better not". oh well]
