I've been thinking about this. Slow days at Ninos Pizza gives me plenty of time to do that.
What if we had a crowd/adrenaline meter in one of the corners of the screen that ranged from 1 to 10. As Texan said, have certain events boost the meter up 1 or 2 notches. As the meter goes up your team performs better, the HP scores more and such. A lot of matches are decided in the last 10-15 seconds of a match so things get more intense and exciting, so for the last 10-15 seconds of a match, if the two alliance's scores are within say 50 points of eachother, EVERYONE'S meter gets boosted to 10, the MAX.
Just something to think about.
EDIT: The crowd's cheering level would be reflecting what it reads on the meter.
