Chief Delphi is not the only team to do this, there are many other teams. However, the Western Michigan Regional had few teams as it was, and there would have been far fewer if teams like Chief Delphi didn't attend 3 regionals.
Also, I believe that the event there in Grand Rapids may have been sponsored by Delphi, and they could've have been there to show support for their sponsor and help their team politically.
