Maybe its just my eyes, but I think I can see significantly worse compression artifacts around the "I am JVN" suggesting that it was added to an existing jpeg and recompressed. The text also looks different in general on close inspection. If it was a fake, it was simply white text overlayed the picture. It was a good choice of picture though...
