The name is copyright immediately upon its first use. A service or trade mark would be most useful in defending brand name visibility, however.
What difference does it make, really? We are not on team 47, nor do we do any of the work to maintain this site. To even imagine for a moment that we're entitled to any of the awareness, fame, or recognition associated with it is little more than stupidity.
