Re: Class of 05: Where are You Applying?

Sheesh...everyone here is aiming so high. Here's hoping that you can make it into your dream schools.

I might be thinking too highly of myself, but I think I've got the grades (all As for three years now) and the ACT (a 35) to make it into some of the more prestigious schools. I was never planning on applying for MIT or CalTech, though, and I don't have the SAT2 tests that I'd need if I change my mind. So, my list right now...

University of Michigan: In my price range, and a very good aerospace program. I'm almost positive that I could get in, and I like the school a lot.
Purdue: More expensive than UofM, and I haven't been out to the campus yet. I like what I've heard about their aerospace program, though, so I'm going to apply soon. Beyond that, they get brownie points for sponsoring 461.
Kettering: Not as sure about this one, since there's still a possibility that a future in engineering won't work out for me. Considering that I could almost definitely get a full ride if I apply, I'll fill out an application and think some more about it.
Washington University: Farther away than I was planning on, but they've more or less promised that I'd get a very large portion of my tuition paid for if I'm accepted. Like Kettering, I'll apply and think about it later on.

I've already been accepted at Western Michigan...and I'm considering them strongly. At the very least, I've got one college that I know wants me...
