I never said that every person who is an individual terrorist or every member of a terrorist group came out of a third world country. Saying that bin Laden didn’t come from a poor family or poor country doesn’t disprove or otherwise harm my comments. An example of third world-bred hate and terrorism can easily be found in the Palestinians and in the Chechens. I will say it again, and I’m right when I do; a major problem for nations of all governments is an uneducated, starving, bigoted, and otherwise uncared for “third world” (even within our own country and other “advanced nations”).

I realize it’s much easier to try to find what we think are borderline inaccuracies in other peoples’ statements/arguments, but doing so when you don’t add commentary or substance to the conversation ends up draining, in this case, my energy going back and either correcting your misinterpretations or superfluously adding to previous statements I’ve made in the hopes that they can be better understood.

Are you saying that somehow our Generals in Iraq knew what they were doing, and our Generals in Afghanistan didn’t? Are you saying that, since high troop levels don’t matter, 100 troops in Afghanistan with good intelligence and impeccable training could maintain peace in Afghanistan and find Osama bin Laden, when 15,000 troops (with all the intelligence we can decipher, and armed forces training) can barely maintain peace in 10% of the country and haven’t found Osama? Or are you suggesting that our intelligence in Iraq has been better than our intelligence in Afghanistan? I really don’t understand where you’re going with this. I have to rely on what you type and making an honest effort at properly interpreting your intent (which I’m sure is a benefit that many people do not give my posts, but that’s another story).
