All I can say is it depends on how much time you have to play the game, and which level you are wanting to play on. I've been playing off and on for over a year, but I don't have very good stamina so I still can't do 10 footers like Max 300 or The Legend of Maxx. Really it just takes a lot of time and a lot of patience to get to the level where you can AA most songs (which means you're shooting for a low amount of greats and goods because DDR runs on a point system. Misses are equal to getting 8 greats, so it's really important to just get goods and greats [goods are equal to greats])
