This song is up for grabs on the interpretation. All I can honestly say is that to say E is being a hypocrite, a contradictor, or whatever like that just because he's preaching about there being no Iraq war is actually wrong.

As I said earlier, he's not saying there should be no war...just that Bush should do his own work. We got pushed into this to fast to actually've known what was going on. Not to mention the fact that Bush flip-flopped about the war...saying first it was for the WMD's, but now it's to destroy Saddam and rebuild Iraq into the perfect country.

I know this has gone off topic (what I just typed), but that's how it boils down to really with the war concept in the song.

No matter how you think about it though, he's still not saying he supports Kerry in the song, nor does he support the other 7 runners for the seat. All he's saying (just as someone else said) is that he's saying don't vote for Bush, and here's why. So, he's actually not influencing the vote to much (he is, but it's not as bad as what it could be).

If anything, he's actually influencing people to vote (take the 2nd & 3rd verse).
