I agree ... I didn't find The Ring to be really scary at all, in fact, at some points I actually laughed. Many scary movies are too predictable and I think it is kind of funny how people get freaked out by something that you could tell was going to happen and is overly cliche (many, many scary movies are cliche)...
Not to say that there are no movies that have scared me. Movies where what happens in them could happen in REAL LIFE totally freak me out. Even movies that ARE unrealistsic sometimes scare me, like
Carrie. Sometimes ghost movies scare me too because I am not sure whether they exist or not.
What Lies Beneath comes to mind...
