The first FIRST competition I attended was the Canadian Regional (now GTA Regional) in Mississauga three years ago. My first thought was one part rock concert, one part sporting event, one part dance party. Mix with loads of energy and lots of sound and you have something I have got to be involved in!!!
I am now embarking on my third season as a mentor/facilitator to Team #63 - The Red Barons. And I am now up to 6 FLL teams that I work with, maybe 7!! We attended a local FLL tourney last weekend. The team next to us in the pits wasn't faring too well. They had no real technical mentor, just several parents with limited knowledge working with them.
So I just had to volunteer to stop in at their next couple of meetings and help them out!!!
