The US Naval Academy is an operating military base. With that said, everyone who sets foot onto the Academy has to show ID. Assuming nothing catastrophic happens between now and March, everything should run similar to the way it has in previous years. Teams traveling with a bus will be allowed on the Academy grounds once in the morning to drop the team off and once in the evening to pick everyone up. For those teams who will carpool, use vans or something similar, you will have to park at the Navy - Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, and there is a free shuttle to Halsey Field House. Parking in downtown Annapolis is very limited, and parking on the Academy grounds is limited only to those people with DOD passes. More detailed information will be available most likely in mid-January.

There is no Omni in Annapolis, so I'm not sure where you and your team stayed. In prior years, the Lowes Annapolis Hotel has been one of the hotels in the THS system. This hotel is about a 4-5 block walk from the Academy's Gate 1 (Main Gate, Halsey is right next to the gate).

This is a great event, and we look forward to seeing everyone in Annapolis! As for food, can't go wrong with MD seafood! There are plenty of hotels in the area, and all are close to food! Most of the hotels are either close to the Annapolis Mall where there is a food court and a number of surrounding restaurants, and/or the Festival at Riva Shopping Center and Annapolis Harbour Center where there are plenty of options. Also there are plenty of great options in Historic Downtown Annapolis for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

If there are any questions about Annapolis, please feel free to PM me or reply back.
