As for the original question, things like this can happen with an organization as big as FIRST. As hard as it may be to reason, things can fall between the cracks.
I would
call or e-mail FIRST immediately and see what happened.
Maybe it was a glitch in the registration system, or maybe there are other underlying reasons. I don't know. But FIRST should.
