What reciever should I buy for my home stereo?
Ok...so i am stating my ignorance up front, I know nothing about audio, but I am interested in getting a new reciever for some speakers my dad gave me. The final plan is to put them in my dorm room next year. My roommates are in there now, so i won't have them next year.
Here is what i have:
2x - Bose 301 Series II (One left, and one right)
2x - Design Acoustics PS-10.
I know almost nothing about the Bose pair, but the PS-10's have some info online, and here is what I know:
-1 1/8" poly dome tweeter (hole dia: 3")
-5" mid, treated paper cone/rubber surrounds (hole dia: 4.75", sealed sound tube: 4.75 dia x 6" deep)
-10" woofer, paper cone/foam surrounds (hole dia: 9.125", mount depth: 4" max, sealed cabinet: apx 10.25"x11.375"x12.5" (minus internal sound tube)
- Frequency response: 48hz-22Khz
- X-over: 190hz, 2.4khz
- Impedance: 8 ohm nom./5.6 ohm min.
- Sensitivity: 90db
*NOTE: i just wrote all that, and I have no idea what it means.
***NOTE: I don't want to get something that is awesome, I just want something that I can hook all this up to and use inputs on the reciever for my computer, a CD player, and the tv/dvd player.
I hope someone out there has some knowledge on this subject and can help me with this.
