Re: Drive Train design roadblocks

Don't trust all the top speeds you read about here on Chiefdelphi. Many of the numbers (if not most) are derived from calculations. I know several of the numbers were even calculated from the free speed of the motor which is entirely incorrect because there will always be a load when driving a robot.

Also, what do you consider an acceptable current draw? most of the breakers can sustain loads a bit over there rated value for extended periods of time (many seconds).
